PICKLEPEDIA CHALLENGE

Usher in the new year with Picklepedia Challenge 2026, a brand new pickleball tournament designed for players who have recently started their pickleball journey. The tournament aims to provide a competitive and fun platform for novice and lower intermediate players to level up their skills and connect with the fast growing pickleball community in the region.

Match Day Guidelines

  • Check-in: All players must check in at least 20 minutes before their matches.
  • Warm-up time: Maximum 2 minutes.
  • Timeout: Only one timeout per team per match (30 seconds).
  • No-show rule: If a player or team is not present 5 minutes after the scheduled match start, it will be considered a walkover.
  • Officiating: Umpires will be provided for all matches. Umpires' calls are final and not subject to appeal.
  • โ Line calls: Made by the receiving team (Spectators are not allowed to make or influence line calls).
  • Umpires can overwrite player line calls if deemed incorrect.:
  • Net rule: If the serve hits the metal part at the middle of the net, it is a re-serve.
  • Conduct: Any form of bad behaviour, verbal abuse, cheating, or unsportsmanlike conduct may result in disqualification at the discretion of the tournament organizers.
  • Partner policy: No partner changes allowed once the draw is published.
  • Format of Play

  • The tournament consists of a total of 16 teams, divided into 4 pools of 4 teams each. The tournament will begin with a round-robin format within each pool.
  • The top 2 teams from each pool will advance to the Quarterfinals elimination stage.
  • Matches during the pool stage and Quarterfinals will be played to 15 rally points (sudden death).
  • From the semi-finals onward, matches will be played to 21 rally points (sudden death). In these rounds, teams will switch sides at 11 points.
  • Age Eligibility:

  • Open to all age groups.
  • Playersโ€™ Eligibility:

  • Players must have a DUPR rating of 3.2 and below.
  • DUPR must meet criteria at the time of registration - Slight fluctuations after registration are common and acceptable.
  • Any attempt to manipulate or submit fake DUPR matches with the intention of decreasing your rating will not be tolerated. Such actions will be reported directly to DUPR for further investigation.
  • No DUPR eligibility complaints will be entertained after the registration closing date. Please report any concerns before the deadline.
  • Podium finishers in large or major tournaments are not allowed to participate.
  • Paddles used must be on the USAP-approved list of paddles.

    Registration & Payment

  • Registration Fee: SGD100 per team.
  • Teams are confirmed only after payment is received.
  • Please bring your NRIC on the match day for verification purposes.
  • Players are not allowed to change their partner and team name after 11 January 2026.
  • Registration fees are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled.
  • After registration & payment are made, please join our WhatsApp Group for all tournament updates.
  • Rain Policy

  • In the event of rain: Wait time is 30 minutes. If play cannot resume, matches will be postponed to the next Saturday (revised timing to be advised). Players must be available at the rescheduled time; unavailability will be treated as a walkover with no refunds or credits.
  • Participation Terms:

  • Scores will be submitted to DUPR.
  • Media release: By participating, players consent to photography and videography, and grant the organizer the right to use media for promotional purposes.
  • Liability waiver: All participants play at their own risk. The organizers are not liable for any injuries, accidents, or personal loss during the event.
  • Organiserโ€™s Rights:

  • The organizer reserves the right to amend or change the rules and Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice to ensure the smooth running of the tournament.
  • If fewer than 10 teams register, the event may proceed with revised prizes, or be postponed/refunded at organizerโ€™s discretion.
  • Prize Money Policy:

  • Prize money is guaranteed only in the event of full participation.
  • Prizes may be adjusted if participation is lower than expected. The organizer reserves the right to amend prizes accordingly to maintain fairness and tournament integrity.
  • Prizes

    • Champion: SGD250 cash + medal
    • 1st runner-up: SGD150 cash + medal
    • 2nd runner-up: SGD100 cash + medal
